Beuys-Land in FAZ

Gerd Ludwig’s installation of large-scale aluminum dibond prints of the late artist Joseph Beuys (see entry Beuys-Land: Art and Climate Change) received attention throughout Germany. On September 30, the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ), Germany’s most influential daily newspaper, published a full-page article on this unique presentation after staff writer/editor Freddy Langer accompanied Gerd on the 27 km bike tour that connects the mounted photographs displayed at their original capture locations. After the closing of the exhibit on October 17, the panels are being auctioned off to support Gerd’s upcoming book about Beuys at the Lower Rhine.
