Pacific New Media and the University of Hawaii at Manoa presents Soul and Meaning: Gerd Ludwig's Photography , a free public lecture/presentation sponsored by Canon USA on Saturday, March 22, 2008, 9am-1pm, at the Yukiyoshi Room (Krauss Hall 012, University of Hawaii at Manoa, 2500 Dole Street). Gerd presents an overview of his work, focusing on the human side of the Former Soviet Union's socio-economic and political transition into modern day Russia; environmental issues internationally; his varied stories for National Geographic Magazine, and the techniques and logistics he applies in the field as a National Geographic photographer.
