During this year’s FotoWeekDC, National Geographic photographer Gerd Ludwig will host a 1-day seminar entitled, Storytelling with Personal Vision. The goal of the workshop is to encourage photographers to develop a personal vision and take their photography to the next level. The lecture will start in the morning with an inside look at how story ideas moves from proposal to published articles in National Geographic Magazine. In the afternoon session, Gerd will talk about his own photographic techniques, such as his use of wide-angle lenses and handheld strobes, in order to focus on how to capture atmosphere and mood, while maintaining a sense of place.
The seminar will take place on Saturday, November 10th from 10am to 5pm.
