California’s largest and most troubled lake continues to concern environmentalists and ecologists, and fascinate artists intrigued by the bizarre. Originally published in National Geographic Magazine’s February 2005 issue, Gerd Ludwig’s story of this strange, sometimes lethal, oft maligned, oddly beautiful and downright weird lake in the Californian desert, appears in a new layout in French Geo’s May 2008 issue.
